"When your here, your family"

I start my new job Monday at Olive Garden! I can't wait, I'm so excited!! It's a new beginning for me... I actually have a job! I have searched and search for a job for so long with no luck, and now that I have found one I couldn't be happier!

Olive Garden is a really nice restaurant. It's very "swanky" and "trendy" and that's one of the things that I like about it. Monday is training, I'm not really sure what all that holds but I'm sure it will be worth it. I went last Monday to fill out the paperwork....wow was that a handful! I had to do a 185 question test while I was there. Boy did my hand hurt! I had other paperwork to fill out also. One of the coolest parts about it is the fact that I don't get a paper paycheck, instead I get paid on basially a debit card. Another really nice thing that Olive Garden does is if you have a serious emergency, i.e. house burning down, death in the family, etc, they will raise money to help you pay some of the expences! You can put aside some of your paycheck to go into this fund. That's really nice!

Let's see...what else....Thanksgiving was good! I spent it with the fam! It wasn't what I thought though. I thought my entire family was going to be coming over to the house, instead just my immediate family (but that's fine too). My mom actually set up the table this year the way I have been asking for many years! I want the table to look just like the pictures and the movies! In years past, they pre-cut the turkey and have the slices on the table. I wanted that bird on the table when we sit down. She even had candles and everything...I told her that was a little much. We eat in the afternoon, sometimes I wish it could be at night. I guess that can be the traditions of my family when I start one! I know I had a lot to be thankful ffor this year with the new addition of my brand new job!!

Next big holiday coming up, anyone? Christmas! The best day of the year! I can't wait for that! The Christmas trees are up at my house, haven't yet had time to put one up at the apt. Maybe next week? I just wonder how the break is going to work out with this new job. I really hope that I don't have to work close to Christmas, but if I do...I guess I can manage...money is money!
Speaking of money! I may possilby have money for Christmas presents this year! Not having money in the past, I have not been able to buy for my family. I'm hoping for legit snow too! Not any of this half an inch crap! I would love to see like 2 feet! (I just hope that I'm home when it starts!)

That's all for now! Till next time!

Following the Bouncing Ball!

So here I am again in class, blogging, pretending to be taking notes! I know, I know! I"m going home this weekend and getting that Word disk! That doesn't mean that I still won't be on Facebook or anything! Haha

I went the the basketball game last night. This is not an everyday thing for me...I'm not that much of a sports fan! My old motto, when someone asks me what team I'm for I respond, "Whichever one wins!" I watched the men's game and I guess that since I began it then I was more into it rather than coming into it halfway through! I found myself legitly cheering for them! There were a few funny moments that happened! One of our guys went up for a rebound and his pants fell DOWN! "I see London, I see France, I see his red underpants!" I had a good laugh on that one! Another funny part was another one of our guys was dribbling and trying to look for a way to pass the ball, so he simply bounced it through the other guys legs!! Another thing about the basketball games is that I can't take them seriously when they are trained to fake being pushed or something in order to gain points! That's just something I don't understand!

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Break are just around the corner. Friday can NOT get here soon enough!!! I think I could sleep for a week! I can't wait just to see all of my family again we have a love/hate relationship....we love to hate each other sometimes! haha

Ummm.... I really can't think of anything else to blog about, so I'm gonna leave it at that! I'll blog later! Till next time!

Good Morning Baltimore!!

So I'm in class this morning pretending to take notes...my Word is locked up for right now! I clicked the wrong thing when I booted up my new computer. I clicked that I already had the product key to install it. So it only gave me a certain amount of tries until it just wouldn't let me anymore. I'm going home next weekend to get it, so here I am!

It's supposed to rain later today. I like the rain, it's soothing! It's especially soothing when you take a nap during a rain storm! (one of my loves!) So we'll see what happens as soon as I get out of class and get back to my bed! I sleep all day!!

So I've still been thinking about the context of my blog last night. If I had certain recourses and the ability to make these choices then I think that I definitely think I would be choosing another path! That worries me just a little, but I can't kid myself anymore! Fortunately or unfortunately... I don't have those recourses so I'm stuck with the path I am on right now...

I can't wait until I can graduate! Only 8 months left! I get to "fake walk" in May. So my ceremony will be a sham! But I will take it as how it is, they warned me not to let it get that way! But lucky me gets to take a summer school class as my final class and it will be the GLORIOUS Biology II (can you sense the sarcasm in that?) This makes me really nervous, I'm not that good with the whole science thing and if I don't pass this class then I will not get my A. diploma and B. degree!!

I can't decide what to do after I graduate. My choices are 1. UT Chattanooga, 2. UT Knoxville, 3. UT @ Selmer, or 4. Take a year off. Right now I'm leaning more towards number four, just because I need a break from 13 or so years of school!! I do plan on going to Grad. School though. I really wanna go to Knox because I have friends there from high school as opposed to Chatt where I don't know anyone there and will have to drive far to be able to see them. My mom really doesn't want me to go to Knox because of some mistakes my brother made during his short time in college. Try as I might, I still haven't convinced her that I will not turn out the way my brother did!

Well I guess that's it for me this morning bloggers! Class is almost over so I will be heading home to take me a nap that may last the rest of the day!!! Till next time!

Just a quick one...

I feel like blogging again before bed, if anyone is reading this...or it's just for me to get thoughts out!

There are times in my life when I wonder, "What if I took that road, where would I end up now?" I am often left with that question, which is not always a good place to be. I remember a quote from Transfomers...can't really remember it verbatim but it's along the lines of the for mentioned quote.

I am now standing at a fork in the road figuring out which road to take....I hope I choose the right one...

Coming to you live from wonderful Subway!

So I'm just sitting here in Subway... just finished a foot long, that was very good as usual if I may add. I'm doing a first for me! I have never came in here and sat and used their internet. I guess it's a southern equivalent to a coffee shop in a big city! I feel like one of those people who just sit in coffee shops and work on the script to sell to a producer! There's not really anything special about this, there's one other girl in here doing the same. It's pretty dead in here. Kinda cold too!

Anyways! Now the dilemma of what to blog about! Reflections kicked off it's tour tonight.... it was pretty good. Lowery is the traditional "opening night" but we were minus Blake because he was very sick! We still managed pretty well! There was one song that I literally mumbled the words to at one point! I hope no one caught that! Haha!

Let's see...what else? Have you seen this new show Glee? It's pretty much one of my new favorite shows now! I was unsure of it in the beginning because I didn't really understand the concept but the more I watch and LISTEN to the great music in it, the more I fall in love with it! The only problem is that it comes on Wednesday nights and I don't get back from church in Tupelo soon enough! But THANKFULLY there is this wonderful website entitled Hulu.com that allows me to catch up on all of my favorite shows! (there's my plug!)

Have you ever tried to time music with lights around you? Like in the car, listening to music and either trying to time it with the windshield wipers or a caution light flashing? No? I do, don't judge me! Why I say is because I'm on Pandora.com listening to Jason Mraz's "If it Kills me" and there is one of those flashing arrow signs with the space under it for words that matches the tempo! Hey, it's the band geek in me that finds that amusing! At least I'm able to find excitement in the little things of life!

I really need a job...like for real! I am broke and about to have loans to pay back! I have looked all over Ripley, New Albany, and Tupelo and since I'm still jobless...there was nothing open! I went to the mall in Tupelo and literally went store to store asking...all but Victoria's Secret! haha My philosophy is that employers are looking for people to work 10 years not 10 months, i.e. students! I also think that a lot of "older" people have gotten into a financial pinch and had to get 2 or 3 jobs to support the kids! I understand that, but that takes away the job opportunities from the rest of us!

Well that's it for me! Time to head back to school cause it's really gettin cold in here! Till next time!

Boldly going...

So... I decided to create a blog because I have this desire to write for some reason and to have people read it (if anyone does). And for those of you that read me on Livejournal and think that I will abandon this...who knows, we'll see! I will tell you right now that A. I am not the best speller in the world and B. I'm not a Thesaurus, so I will not be using big fancy words unless I know them!! haha

The last few months have been interesting for me... I have experienced many new things that I never thought that I would experience!! Some good and some bad, but the life lessons that I gained from them I can not put a price on. I wonder if those same life experiences would have been bestowed on me if I had not had to go through these events.

In other news! I watched "The Proposal" tonight with Sandra Bullock and what's-his-face...and it was actually a good movie! I wasn't sure about it, but it was a really nice movie. 1. Sandra Bullock in a pantsuit= HOT! 2. Betty White is HILARIOUS!
I also like the movie "Up!" It's a really sweet movie with a good message in it! If you haven't seen it, go RIGHT NOW and rent it, it's at the Redbox! Even though it's a cartoon doesn't mean it can't be good. I heard someone say, one day, "Why can't a children's movie have depth and meaning? Why does it always have to be crude violence and fart jokes?" I agree!

Well folks, I think that's about all for me tonight! I really hope to keep this up to date...maybe not daily, but who knows, maybe the rest of my life will be interesting enough to tell all of the internet world about!
