"When your here, your family"

I start my new job Monday at Olive Garden! I can't wait, I'm so excited!! It's a new beginning for me... I actually have a job! I have searched and search for a job for so long with no luck, and now that I have found one I couldn't be happier!

Olive Garden is a really nice restaurant. It's very "swanky" and "trendy" and that's one of the things that I like about it. Monday is training, I'm not really sure what all that holds but I'm sure it will be worth it. I went last Monday to fill out the paperwork....wow was that a handful! I had to do a 185 question test while I was there. Boy did my hand hurt! I had other paperwork to fill out also. One of the coolest parts about it is the fact that I don't get a paper paycheck, instead I get paid on basially a debit card. Another really nice thing that Olive Garden does is if you have a serious emergency, i.e. house burning down, death in the family, etc, they will raise money to help you pay some of the expences! You can put aside some of your paycheck to go into this fund. That's really nice!

Let's see...what else....Thanksgiving was good! I spent it with the fam! It wasn't what I thought though. I thought my entire family was going to be coming over to the house, instead just my immediate family (but that's fine too). My mom actually set up the table this year the way I have been asking for many years! I want the table to look just like the pictures and the movies! In years past, they pre-cut the turkey and have the slices on the table. I wanted that bird on the table when we sit down. She even had candles and everything...I told her that was a little much. We eat in the afternoon, sometimes I wish it could be at night. I guess that can be the traditions of my family when I start one! I know I had a lot to be thankful ffor this year with the new addition of my brand new job!!

Next big holiday coming up, anyone? Christmas! The best day of the year! I can't wait for that! The Christmas trees are up at my house, haven't yet had time to put one up at the apt. Maybe next week? I just wonder how the break is going to work out with this new job. I really hope that I don't have to work close to Christmas, but if I do...I guess I can manage...money is money!
Speaking of money! I may possilby have money for Christmas presents this year! Not having money in the past, I have not been able to buy for my family. I'm hoping for legit snow too! Not any of this half an inch crap! I would love to see like 2 feet! (I just hope that I'm home when it starts!)

That's all for now! Till next time!
